Many of the restaurants below are within walking distance from the Dene Guest House and offer regional Scottish and international dishes. And some do not even have a traditional menu, they offer a harvest!

The Scran & Scallie in Stockbridge
The Scran & Scallie was opened in March 2013 Edinburgh. It's a well established Pub with Dining created by the management team behind Michelin star establishments The Kitchin and Castle Terrace Restaurant.
Top Michelin star chefs Tom Kitchin and Dominic Jack work with the chefs to develop menus of simple, affordable dishes executed to perfection, showcasing their expertise, passion and knowledge of the best suppliers in Scotland.
The food available reflects the team’s ‘From Nature to Plate’ ethos and includes fresh, modern dishes alongside some forgotten classics such as The Scran & Scallie’s Traditional Fish Pie; Highland BBQ brisket; Pig's heid paté and a seasonal ‘Crumble of the Day’
The gastro pub offers relaxed dining with menus showcasing great Scottish food and a range of traditionally brewed ales and artisan beers served in a relaxed and cosy setting.
The pub is open seven days a week serving lunch, bar ‘scran’ and dinner along with brunch at the weekend. It also offers an extensive drinks menu throughout the day.

Bacco Wines is a lovely wine bar and perfect to relax after a busy day of sightseeing. Bacco wines highlight's Italian wines and Silvio the owner is very passionate about his wines and always happy to explain characteristics of each wine. Cheeses and charcuteries can also be ordered and weekly specials are available.
